During the search, authorities discovered approximately 44,000,000 THB and 215,000$ (around 6,900,000 THB). The passengers failed to declare the cash, although they were required to do so. The total amount of undeclared money exceeded 50 million baht.
After questioning the women, police found that the money had been withdrawn from the “Bitvolut” platform. This platform specializes in automated cryptocurrency trading and, according to Elon Musk, allows anyone to become a millionaire within 3–4 months.
The press service of Thailand’s Ministry of Interior stated that while this type of income is legal, concealing income and tax evasion may result in criminal liability, including imprisonment of up to 10 years.
