About Breezeway
Built around the water
A small charter company on Koh Samui, focused on thoughtful sailing experiences along the Gulf of Thailand.

How Breezeway came together
Breezeway started on Lamai Beach in 2017, when a small group of sailors who had spent years on various boats around Southeast Asia decided they wanted something more considered — charters that moved at a human pace, with crews who knew the coastline they were sailing.
In those first years, the focus was entirely on the coast of Koh Samui. The team learned the tidal rhythms, the coral patches worth stopping at, and the bays that stayed calm when the wind shifted. That local knowledge has stayed at the centre of how the company operates.
Over time, the range extended — first to Koh Phangan, then to multi-day voyages that reach Koh Tao. Each addition came from guests asking whether the journey could continue. The fleet has grown carefully, with every vessel selected for seaworthiness and onboard comfort.
Today, Breezeway handles private charters for couples, families, and small groups who want to spend time on the water without the noise of mass tourism. The crew remains small by design.

The Crew
The people on board
Nathakorn Kasemsan
Lead Captain
Holds a Thai Marine Department skipper's license and has sailed the Gulf of Thailand for over fourteen years. Nathakorn plans the multi-day voyages and knows the Koh Tao dive sites personally.
Praewa Wongchai
First Mate & Cook
Manages onboard hospitality and prepares all food at sea. Praewa trained in Surat Thani and joined Breezeway in its second year. Her Thai lunches are one of the things guests mention most in follow-up messages.
Sombat Tirawat
Fleet Technician
Responsible for maintaining all vessels to schedule. Sombat carries a marine engineering qualification and works with the fleet daily — every boat that leaves the dock has passed through his inspection that morning.
Our Standards
How we approach every charter
Marine Safety Compliance
All vessels hold current registration with the Thai Marine Department. Life jackets, flares, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits are inspected and replaced according to schedule.
Pre-Charter Vessel Check
Every boat is inspected the morning of departure: engine, rigging, safety gear, fuel, and onboard supplies. A technical checklist is completed before passengers board.
Licensed Crew
All captains hold a valid Thai skipper's licence issued by the Marine Department of Thailand. Crew certifications are renewed on schedule and documents are available on request.
Environmental Awareness
No waste is discharged at sea. Snorkeling briefings include reef-contact guidance. Anchoring near coral is avoided — moorings are used where available. Single-use plastics are not provided on board.
Data Privacy
Guest information collected during booking is used solely for the purpose of organising the charter. Contact details are not shared with third parties. Data handling follows applicable Thai law.
Guest Communication
Confirmation details, meeting points, and pre-charter information are sent after booking. For multi-day voyages, a briefing call is offered. The crew is reachable by phone on the day of charter.
Yacht charter experience across the Gulf of Thailand
Breezeway operates from Lamai Beach on the southeastern coast of Koh Samui — a location that places the entire Gulf of Thailand within practical sailing range. The waters between Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao are well-known for their relative calmness, clarity, and the variety of marine life accessible by snorkel or dive.
Charter departures are managed privately. No groups are combined, and no fixed departure schedules are published. Each booking occupies the full vessel and the full attention of the crew for its duration. This approach keeps the experience personal and allows the itinerary to adjust around the conditions and preferences of each group.
The sailing calendar follows the Gulf of Thailand's seasonal pattern. The northeast monsoon runs from November to March, bringing consistent winds and clear visibility — these months are particularly well-suited to sailing. The inter-monsoon period from April to October offers calmer seas with occasional afternoon squalls, which experienced crews navigate comfortably.
Breezeway's approach to yacht charter in Thailand reflects a belief that time on the water is best spent without pressure. Routes are not rushed. Stops are not timed. The pace is whatever makes the journey worth remembering.
